Steps

The Process and What to Expect

 

1. A deposit to reserve a puppy for current &/or future litters is required to be added to our waiting list.

2. Pups are reserved in the order that the deposits are received. 

3. Once you are on a waiting list and later decide to switch to another litter's waiting list, you will be placed at the end of the other waiting list (not by date). Switching list will not place you in the order of deposit made.

4. Deposits are good faith promises and are nonrefundable.

5. At times, the waiting list can be a year+ out. So reserve your sweet pup asap. 

6. If the number of puppies born is less than expected, the deposit for the last buyer waiting will roll over for the next litter of that same waiting list.

7. You will choose your puppy within the first week or second week of birth once the fragile critical time has pass.

​   8. Enjoy the livestream watching your fur-Baby grow till pickup day.

    9. ​Puppies will go home by 8-10 weeks after birth.​

​   10. We cannot guarantee the number of puppies our female will carry or deliver.

Tip: Pregnancy confirmation: We don't like to do x-ray's on our females to confirm pregnancy unless truly need it. I do use a ultrasound (US) just to confirm pregnancy, not for puppy count. Ultrasound 'may' confirm pregnancy from 6-7wks of gestation.

Earlier than that, It's hard to see mm size fetus; so sometimes we wait till 7 wks. of gestation.

Gestation is 9 weeks long.

Note: Dogs don't have due dates like humans.

Typical pregnancy averages 63 days; viable delivery can occur anywhere between 58 and 70 days.

First-time mothers, older mothers or small litters may slow the whelping process.

Due date is not a guarantee, it's a estimate.

Just a tip: Regarding how long is the wait (for the waiting list), here's a timeframe idea. MissyLou's Litter can be 3-4 pups and Gracie's previous (her first litter) was three then four pups. We are expecting for that amount to increase since their mothers and aunts also started with two and increased afterwards. Dogs get pregnant every 6 months give and take. By looking at birth date of previous puppies on “Past Puppies” page, we can guesstimate waiting time, that's if no one (buyer/s) drops off from the waiting list. This can change overnight if there is a surge of new buyers to add on the waiting. And for Gracie, the number for her typical litter is truly unknown for now, since she has not yet established her typical number of pups per each litter. But her mother and aunts usually have 4-5 pups per litter and usually females from the same line have similar patterns.  Hope this was helpful.
